FINAL PRODUCTION

Our products are subjected to a meticulous degree of quality control.
We not only look for the visual quality of our products but also the quality of the plaster being used, the precise mixture of plaster to water, proper drying techniques and how it's packaged.

Every step of production is analyzed to ensure the integrity of everything we make.

Utilizing the appropriate material for the application is important to ensure product quality can be maintained for many years to come. Palladio’s simple rule of thumb is to use harder more durable materials for product that is to be installed lower in the room such as chair rail and panel moulding, and use lighter materials for parts higher in the room such as ceiling medallions and cornice.

All of Palladio’s materials are reinforced with either fibreglass and/or jute fibres for added strength.

Palladio employs two main methods when manufacturing plaster moulding, Castingand Running

Casting
is a manufacturing process by which a gypsum material is usually poured into a mold, which contains a hollow cavity of the desired shape; reinforcement is applied, and then allowed to solidify. The solidified part is also known as a cast, which is removed from the mold to complete the process.

Running
is a process by which a sheet metal profile cut to the desired shape is dragged along a straight or curved edge where gypsum is applied and forms into the shape of the sheet metal profile. Usually jute fibre or burlap is used to reinforce “Run” products.

Palladio air dries finished product in accordance to the gypsum manufacturer’s specifications.

After drying, Palladio carefully packages its products in wood or corrugated containers using expanding packaging foam for adequate cushioning during transportation.
